ABOUT THE WALK OF STARS
The Birmingham Walk of Stars, Broad Street, honours those people who have made a significant contribution in the categories of music, television, film, radio, theatre, sport, business and literacy.
Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, comedy genius Jasper Carrott and Britain's best known glam rocker Noddy Holder, have all proudly received the honour of induction on to the Birmingham Walk of Stars in 2007.
The Broad Street area of Birmingham city centre is the Midland’s premier, mixed use entertainment and business district which welcomes over 100,000 visitors per week and employs in excess of 12,000 people.
The criteria for nomination is the star(s) must have made a recognisable impact in their specialist category, performed at one of Birmingham's major venues, including the International Convention Centre (ICC), National Indoor Arena (NIA), Symphony Hall and The REP theatre, or be originally from the area or have prominent links with Birmingham and the Midlands.
The Birmingham Walk of Stars is organised and funded by the Broad Street Business Improvement District (BID), which represents the 260+ businesses in the area www.broadst.co.uk
